Twice a year I participate in the Dewey 24hr ReadAThon. Every time I make crazy promises about how much time I will stay awake and how many books I will read. Let this time not be different!
The ReadAThon starts at 8am Saturday for me and my goal is to participate for 20 hours! That includes reading, cheerleading, and tweeting. Back in October I read four books. Not sure how many I will read this time but here's (an idea of) one of my stacks.
Super Sad True Love Story by Gary Shteyngart
Foiled by Jane Yolen (GN)
Evolution by Jay Hosler (GN)
Geek Fantasy Novel by E. Archer
The Emerald Atlas by John Stephens
Silver Phoenix by Cindy Pon
Return to Sender by Julia Alvarez
The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta
Blink and Caution by Tim Wynne-Jones
The Last Unicorn by Peter Beagles (GN)
The Unsinkable Walker Bean by Aaron Reiner (GN)
I also have the books listed in my Spring Break Bookaday post. So, really, I am not sure what will get the play on Saturday, but I'm hoping to read at least 7 books. I do know I will be picking up some great snacks to keep me going and I will make the 20 hours.(I can un-promise this right?)
Are you doing the #readathon?

I was going to do my own mini read-a-thon just because I have so much piled up. I'll have to get organized and join...
ReplyDeleteEverytime I try to do my own, I can't get past the first book! Something about doing it as a community gives me the kick in the pants, er motivation, to read and review.
ReplyDeleteLooks like your April is pretty full. Look forward to your comments as you read-a-thon your way through the month.
