That's my wardrobe over there! With Spring here - at least according to the calendar - I remembered my desire to add a little color to my wardrobe. To "branch out" so to speak!
In addition to new nail polish - can't wait till Essie's The Office Collection comes out - I added a few new items to the mix.
<--- I got this shirt from Banana Republic. It's bright and sheer, far from my usual.
---> this top's from The Limited. It's sort of a bridge piece. It has my usual grays and blues but with a pop of pink.
- I picked these capris up from Target. I wasn't ready to buy the new brightly colored pants I've seen everywhere and thought this colored was a nice step up without making me feel too flashy.
Hopefully the success of these pieces will push me to expand my closet even more!

I really love how your changing your wardrobe! I know adding color can really make a huge difference, and even something I as a teen should probably do more. Bright colors really make you stand out! Good luck updating your wardrobe even more. =)
ReplyDeletethanks Aneeqah! I picked up the awesome purple cardigan and wore it with all black and this blue flower cardigan that I wore with navy blue. Lots of compliments for a small change!
DeleteI tend to stay with the basic earthtone colors as well and need to venture out more!

It's so tough! It's easy to mix and match the basics!
DeleteI'm wearing pink shoes and a pink sweater today with my basic gray pleated skirt. For some reason, I gravitate toward red slacks, but after seeing a picture of myself in them I decided to stick to the basic navy/gray/black/khaki and go with brighter tops! Hope the bright colors also brighten your spirits!
ReplyDeleteI always forget to include my yellow converse or my lime green ones. Need to pick up some matching cardigans! Those definitely count as adding color!
DeleteI just purchased a pale turquoise light sweater to wear to work and it adds color without knocking your over with it.
ReplyDeleteThose are the touches I like!
